About the Film

Red Brick Blue Tarp is a poetic short documentary directed by Cami Thomas of My Friends and I and 314 Oasis, created one year after the deadly tornado that tore through North St. Louis. Blending poetry, music, and intimate on-the-ground footage, the film traces grief, survival, and collective memory in a historically Black community left to rebuild itself in the wake of disaster.
